They're always spending money on somebody else's future spouse, they wear tight jeans and huge plastic glasses, they have "Ugly Sweater Parties" and they go to the Festival of Colors... married people just have a grip on what really matters, that's all.

And while none of those things really apply to you, can you hurry up and cross over to the other side? Then we could all get together and have, like, a game night! That would be fun, right? right?Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16592532716399308477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4200911405072443840.post-51278510173464013722011-04-14T23:16:58.032-06:002011-04-14T23:16:58.032-06:00Who lied to you and said married people don't ...Who lied to you and said married people don't want their personal time? You need to blog more often! You&#...Mike, you blog! You need to blog more often! You're good at it!

Personally, I love my single life (right now)! I think I'm still in self-discovery mode. The experience of being young and single helps you develop your independence, which helps you discover who you are and what you want in life -- and what you want in a partner. This is so essential and I think a lot of people skip that part. Marriage and love is, or at least should be about two independent people coming together because they enjoy each other's company. It's as simple as that!

Once married I like to think that I'll have a social life outside of my marriage. And I would hope the same for my wife. I don't understand why some married couples become hermits. Does anybody know why that is?... Is it a Utah thing? Because my married East Coast friends go out and socialize with their friends quite often, and a lot of them are even Mormon. I see a lot of pictures on Facebook from them, but almost nothing from the married couples I know in Utah. Weird.

Anyway, my two cents -- for what it's worth.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4200911405072443840.post-30233875537071683482011-04-14T16:10:48.463-06:002011-04-14T16:10:48.463-06:00haha! This post is fabulous!...and true. A girl I ...haha! This post is fabulous!...and true. A girl I work with recently got married. Before she was married we'd talk and laugh and joke about life. But now...in just a couple of weeks...she's dull. I try to talk to her. But it doesn't work. It's not the same. She only talks about what she's making for dinner, and how she wants to be done with work at 6 because that's when her husband is home and it's hard to have him home an hour earlier. I don't understand this. I really don't.mckarliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04868535345801240245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4200911405072443840.post-31390216389706017192011-04-14T15:47:49.195-06:002011-04-14T15:47:49.195-06:00Michael, you are fantastic.
